Within the scope of the Istanbul Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SKUP) Phase II – Implementation Plan Project, the Transport Investment Evaluation and Prioritization Workshop was organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) on 21 January 2025.

In her opening speech, Seda Özdemir, Deputy Head of IMM Transport Planning Department, emphasized the importance of addressing the needs of Istanbul’s transport system and prioritizing investments accordingly. Project experts Işıl Nadire Yener and Görkem Akyol presented the Implementation Plan, which provides a sustainable strategic framework for transport investments.

During the workshop, the Transport Needs Analysis Session evaluated the current state of the transport system, while the Investment Prioritization Criteria Session focused on defining strategies for prioritizing transport projects.

The workshop concluded with discussions on the findings and recommendations to support IMM in adopting a more sustainable approach to transport investments.
