The “Age-Friendly Mobility in Istanbul: 65+ and Transportation Workshop” was held on June 24, 2025, as part of the SKUp Phase II Project. The workshop focused on the urban mobility experiences of older adults, addressing topics such as accessibility, pedestrian safety, and information systems. Participants shared their suggestions for sustainable and inclusive transportation policies. The event contributed to SKUp’s communication and awareness strategies.

Sustainable Urban Mobility Data Evaluation Workshop Held in Istanbul
As part of the Istanbul SUMP Phase II – Implementation Plan Project, the Sustainable Urban Mobility Data Evaluation Workshop was held on May 28. Participants gained insights into quantitative and qualitative data evaluation methods and discussed data-driven decision-making in transport planning.

Second Workshop on Disaster Resilient Transportation System Held in Istanbul
As part of the Istanbul Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) Phase II Implementation Project, the “Second Workshop on Disaster Resilient Transportation System” was held on May 21, 2025. The event focused on assessing the resilience of Istanbul’s transport system in extraordinary situations such as pandemics. Drawing on experiences from the Covid-19 period, stakeholders explored strategies to strengthen preparedness and continuity in public transport.


Capacity-Building Training on Geographic Information Systems Held
Within the scope of the Istanbul Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SKUP) Phase II – Implementation Plan Project, the second Capacity-Building Training on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for sustainable urban mobility was organized. The training, co-financed by the European Union under the Transport Sectoral Operational Programme (USOP), was delivered for staff of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM).



Istanbul 2040 Mobility Scenarios Workshop Held

On Tuesday, 7 January 2025, the Maritime Transport Workshop was organized within the framework of the Istanbul Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SKUP) Phase II – Implementation Plan Project. The event aimed to increase the share of maritime transport within Istanbul’s public transport system and to develop a more accessible and integrated sea transport network, bringing together key stakeholders.

On 24 December 2024, the Bus Priority Lanes Workshop was organized within the framework of the Istanbul Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SKUP) Phase II – Implementation Plan Project. Aiming to increase the efficiency of buses in Istanbul’s public transport system, the event provided an important platform to discuss solutions focused on efficiency and sustainability in urban mobility.

Healthy Streets Workshop Held in Istanbul

5th Steering Committee Meeting Held Within the Scope of Istanbul SKUP Phase II
